Game of Thrones - A Song of Ice and Fire plays in a Fantasy world, that reminds vaguely of the Middle Ages.We hear about the deeds and intrigues of the big Noble Houses on the continent Westeros, who fight to win the Iron Throne. The very life like figures offered ideal material for the lavish film production of the epos by the American TV station HBO. The 13 times Emmy nominated first season is dominated by Eddard Stark - Sean Bean in a role cut out for him - Lord of the House Stark, who lives with his family in the rough North.

When the "Hand" of King Robert Baratheon dies, Ned Stark is chosen as his successor...
